All 8x4 and 8x6 chassis

The cable harness/cable stand should perhaps be pushed further back on the chassis towards the 5th. This stand appears to align over the lift axle or at the front of it, while the 5th wheel rest between the two rear axles. It may also help to develop a sliding 5th wheel since we have sliding tandems. Perhaps a 3 or 5 setting would work. A sliding 5th wheel allows people to set the distance to their liking. Everyone loves options, lol. I am seeing this sliding 5th wheel request quite regularly now. Even with a sleeper, there is more distance from the sleeper's back wall to the harness/stand. So over the lift axle seems consistent with most pics I've seen on the internet.

Concerning supply lines, they are too far forward on the heavy haul chassis, as mentioned but i also feel they should be coming from the under side of the cab on the cascadia. If we're going for realism, those supply lines would get ripped off in an alley dock situation..... if those minor things could be adjusted that would be awesome IMO. Still great work by the SCS team any how.

Agreed, this is an excellent addition to the current truck models and this is but a minor yet significant tweak as the air line stand should be mounted inline with the fendermounts of the forward 3rd axle!

this needs to be bumped. trailer cable placement should be based on the chassis length, not where the cab is. on the newer trucks this isnt really an issue as the cable locator on the models are determined by the chassis. but on the older trucks like the 389 and w900 the cable model locator is determined by the cab variant so the cable stand will always be behind the cab. this creates some horrible unrealistic looking cable stretch when using the tri-axle 389 or w900.

in fact, I believe that in a second phase SCS will provide 8x with suspended steering axle as in the last two photos of the first post, maybe on v1.41 or v1.42

Its not common in the US to have steerable lift axle for the cab for non-off road trucks. I wouldn't count on getting that in ATS.

In the WS 49X presentation you can see that the location of the cables is close to the fifth wheel.

I am sure that the SCS team has already seen this detail and is improving it, I find it hard to believe that in their internal tests they omit to see such an exaggerated length of the cables. :D
