[Pete 389] Ugly shadow on the left air filter [148908]
Re: [Pete 389] Ugly shadow on the left air filter [148908]
Can we assume this will spill onto ETS2 or should we create a separate report? Cause I can see the same checker pattern on the truck there as well.

Yes, once fixed, it should be also fix ETS2.
I like trains.
...and trucks too.

Please remove these checkers from the hood, it spoils everything. АТС

Ok so I tried running the game under DX11/proton and the issue is still there so I don't think it's only affecting opengl. Makes me think almost nobody uses SSAO? Obviously TruckerDog doesn't use it.
Just trying to understand why such an ugly bug has not been fixed a month after it was acknowledged and no one notices it other than like 3 people?

I use the SSAO, but I did not notice this BUG, it is present on all trucks ?
Because I don't drive the Pete's I don't like them, so no risk to see the Bug on this truck for me lol.
And the SSAO I use it but set to Medium.

Ah thanks @LudoModding I just noticed something, I'd got sick of looking at it so I disabled SSAO and increased scaling from 200 to 300 but when I turned SSAO on again just now it looked ok.
So with SSAO on and 100 or 200% scaling I can see the effect on the long nose trucks, 389, w900 and Lonestar from internal view or external (look for cross-hatch effect on the hood and roof). At 300% it's barely visible and at 400% pretty much gone.
Ok I'll stop complaining now as I can run SSAO and 300% at good frame rates

I also drive with the W900 but I did not notice this default, I will look at it this evening while driving but as I told you I have the SSAO on medium, and my scale is at 300%

Can confirm, this is still an issue, latest 1.40 beta patch, no mods, SSAO still causes this shadowy net type effect on a Kenworth W900 and other trucks.
