Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
I do agree that it's really high time for multiple drop and a complete revamp of the cargo system. What was fine in 2012 is inexcusably archaic in 2021. Even that one laughable competitor is leaps and bounds ahead of ETS2/ATS in cargo management.

Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
I never bothered trying other trucking games, what other features has that competitor?

Not sure if it was the behavior of the AI, or something else. Whatever it was I have not fired ets2 up since completing the personal goal for cruising Iberia. Don't see myself launching it any time soon either.
After driving quite a lot of hours in Iberia, I feel somewhat similarly. I think the problem might be that it's simply too much to take in at once. The other DLCs were smaller, easier to explore. Iberia takes a lot of time.harishw8r wrote: ↑16 Apr 2021 20:51 I could say even I ain’t too excited to explore the remaining cities after the event. Yeah the cities are spectacular, the prefabs are challenging to manoeuvre, the viewpoint views are eye catching and so on, yet for some reason, something doesn’t create that excitement to explore the remaining cities.

I think you're right... It's a big expansion, so it may be a little overwhelming
Usually, I play ATS and ETS2 less than a few hours every week, mostly ATS these days. Whenever I'm bored of a state/region, I drive somewhere else and enjoy that region (again) because I haven't been there for a while.
The exception is when a new DLC arrives... Usually, I binge drive the new region for a short time before returning to other regions.
In the case of Iberia, the new region is so big that after 15 hours, I still haven't discovered half of the cities and the majority of the main roads. I like Iberia a lot, but it feels a little overwhelming. Maybe it's better to pace down a little instead of trying to explore the whole region too fast... Don't forget that it's all about relaxation (for most of us) and that Iberia, in the end, is one region in the bigger trucking universe
(Having said that, Iberia is great! )

OTR is... what it is. The only thing it does infinitely better than SCS games is cargo, at which it truly excels. The rest is fluff. The game itself is terrible, at least imo.

@festmache all things taste better with moderation. Now we have a big extra chink of map, there's always some job to done on there (with 49 cities, by pure statistic, something you will find). So, just keep driving all the map and from time to time you will have some jobs to do on Iberia so keep enjoying the new part. Also, as its linked to Italy and UK, it adds more diversity to the routes one can take from there. Italy is specially benefited by that, because it allows to break sometimes the north-south corridor. I would had preferred the port to don't had been Napoli (because everything passes by there; i could drive in Napoli with eyes closed), but at least it's an alternative.
