Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
Hmm, I can't see the AC vents on the driver side on the New DAF, only on the passager side.

Considering how diferent are the pollution regulations between USA and EU (and how much those affect the way the engine can work); I guess it's possible that the way Paccar engines work they are "stronger" than their competition in USA while in EU are in disadvantage.rookie_one wrote: ↑12 Jun 2021 05:40Which is a bit ironic, since in North America, PACCAR MX-13 is the most powerful in the 12-13 L range at 510 (with the others being usually at about 500, with the Detroit dd13 having a 505 rating, and the Cummins x12 only having a 500hp engine in vocational ratings)

Aaah now I see what happened. Thanks for clarifying.
Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
Need to take a look on the torque charts, but i think the 16L has more torque on lower RPMs than 13L
Fuel efficiency must also favor the 13L due to smaller displacement

Re: SCS General Discussion Thread

Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
It should be available in quick jobs.

Level 15 (some parts are available earlier, but that doesn't help, if the truck itself is L15)? That was my point too. There must be a reason for it ( or it is a mistake) which I cannot see but would like to know. Maybe someone can enlighten me! Thank you!

Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
Volvo had a d13 540 since Euro5, while Scania got a 540 version of it's DC13 with the current gen a few years ago
That said, Detroit Diesel will have the most powerful engine in that range, the DD13 Gen 5 who was announced late last month supposed to have a 525 HP rating available. Some newbie driver wrote: ↑12 Jun 2021 10:49 Considering how diferent are the pollution regulations between USA and EU (and how much those affect the way the engine can work); I guess it's possible that the way Paccar engines work they are "stronger" than their competition in USA while in EU are in disadvantage.
