Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
Austria/Switzerland/Northern Italy was a much better decision than Benelux IMO. Benelux is a lot easier to avoid, and a revamped Alps region will do wonders for adding some diversity to the map and boxing up western Europe for use. We'll see if it's just Austria or if the rest of the Alps are included in the scope. I would imagine they are up next anyways, it would be weird to jump around between Alps and Benelux.

Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
The one drawback in the Italy/Germany/France reskin projects was that they didn't work much on the cities. Hope they work on the base map cities in those countries at some point in time.

Maybe the reconstruction of Austria is a tising for a future Ballken DLC (with maybe Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina)

Well we "know" Western Balkans is coming someday, so it would be wise of them to pave the way to it so the Austria/Slovenia border isn't a jarring German Truck Simulator 2010 to ETS2 Western Balkans 2023 or later difference.
EDIT: well, the border is ETS2 2012 but parts of Austria are from GTS.

Eh, that kinda depends.oldmanclippy wrote: ↑02 Aug 2021 15:33 Austria/Switzerland/Northern Italy was a much better decision than Benelux IMO. Benelux is a lot easier to avoid
I spend most of my time in western Europe, so I go between France and Germany/Scandinavia a lot more than I go between Austria and anything surrounding it. And even when I do go through Austria, I usually have to go through Hungary too, so there's still old map anyway.
But if you go to Italy or eastern regions a lot then yeah Austria is a good choice. And in any case they both need to be redone eventually, regardless of the actual order.

Wasn't the Southern part of Austria (Graz and Klagenfurt) added in 2014?

@Komen You're right, I started playing ETS2 between Scandinavia and Vive la France so I just assumed all of Austria was part of the base game at launch.

Stick to the route. Stop for nothing. Make the drop.
Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
I hope to be able to enter Orleans in France in the future, to enter Herning, Aarhus, and Vyborg in Denmark, which once abandoned cities can be opened.
Hopefully in the future America Truck Simulator will add these trucks: Freightliner 122SD/Century/Columbia/FLD/Cascadia/Coronado, Kenworth T800/T880/W990,Volvo VNX740, International HX520/ ProStar, and MACK Pinnacle, MACK Titan.

Indeed both Aalborg, Aarhus and Fredericia (Taulov) are important transport hubs in Denmark, maybe Copenhagen less as port activities has been moved to Malmö
