In the old days I was like that too, I didn't care about the updates or the guesses of what was to come and just played the game... after I started following the forum I sank into expectations and hype train
But, the SCS games for me are always a roller coaster. Sometimes I feel like playing every moment and sometimes I stay weeks or even months without even opening the game. And this was already so in the old days.
It only got worse from April 23, 2019 to here, which is when I became more frequent on the forum...

That lightboard was already in-game when they released the new tires a few weeks ago. UNLESS they actually added even more.

I think it was a heads up on the update of Michelin DLC.

BUt some comments mentioned some minor fixes a few days ago.

if im not mistaken they also added 2 trailer wheels, i found the models already 2 or so days after 1.43 released and made them available for me but in 1.42

/\ To be honest, I was expecting news this week. As it didn't come, I think it would be strange to 'run over' so much news (new trucks for ATS/ETS2, driving school for both games, and so on) until the end of this month, since the SCS should go on vacation soon (maybe?). Well, we can only wait. As the #CruisingWyoming event is still in progress and ends on the 7th, I believe that at least the Christmas event should start this week.

Oh, one detail... I wonder if SCS has already revealed the long-awaited content for 1.43 which is the Michelin tire update? Not that it is not good news, even more because in ETS2 we now have licensed tires for trailers, but for those who are waiting for driving school it sounded like a very big announcement that there was still a lot of content for 1.43 if is only the new tires.
