I like SCS a lot, but if there is one thing that annoys me a lot, and it looks like it will never be fixed, it is the unrealistic height that the trucks have in-game.
The closest to a real height for me in the game are the Cascadia and 49X (because is a vocational truck). The rest (ETS2 and ATS), all deserve a slight edit on the chassis height.

Look at this difference, bizarre!

But, to dont make this post just a negative feedback, I really liked the novelty, this new grill with the chrome details are really cool! Seeing the pictures, it looks amazing, congratulations again!
PS: Have this phrase (EfficientLine 3) at above the windshield in any official paintjob? That would be cool!

^That's another reason why i prefer the new XG and XG+ over any other truck in-game. I just hope that they don't end up raising the ride height of them when the XF update releases with the new chassis options.

Can someone please help me understand the wheel logic difference between 1.42 & 1.43OB?

For what I understand, until now the set of values that defined axles were sorted this way: most-front axle first, last rear axle second and then the rest of axles from rear to front. I'm guessing that weird sort was some remanent from times when only 4x2 were in the game and they had to fit more axles later.

Now, with 1.43 changes, all those axle definitions are sorted in front-to-rear strictly order. What means that any vehicle mod has to be adapted otherwise the visual axle layout would not match the function defined for every axle. Then it talks about locators and other details that moders will understand better. But the essential is what I said, to change the order of the data defined in the files so it could follow a clear logic necessary for a further functionality incoming (no more details, I can't guess what they mean) and also to make data structure to be more logic to understand (something that helps prevent errors).

^ Yes, exatly that.
Truck mods made before 1.43 have problem with liftable axles i.e. midlift became taglift. It can be fixed in chassis definitions by re-arranging the order of axles.
Befor 1.43 Axle values (powered axle or not, steerable or not, liftable or not, kerb weight) were in incorrect order: 1st axle, then driven axle, then aux axles. Now they are in correct order.

It is a good change indeed, now everything is logical.

Previously, I couldn't find any difference because I was looking in the wrong places. v1.43 vs v1.42[ external image ]But, now thanks to both of you I know where to look & where is the difference. Thanks again for helping me understand.

Well, 8x4 isn't the best example for finding differences, i'd suggest to look at 6x2 trucks

They have been in the right order in scs def files for a little while, they used to bypass the default system by using 0,1,2,3 in the [brackets] as you can see in those two images.

This forced the game to recognise them as being front to rear instead of rear to front.

However most modders probably won't have noticed this change, if everything appears normal in game there's no reason to look.

But speaking as a modder that had to update about 78 trailers in the past week, the change definitely happened. 😂

Yes, it feels like the front axle air suspension drive is maximally raised up.

Yes, as I understand it, this is the official livery from MAN truck, and I hope in the future it will be added with a choice of colors.

By the way, I'm not sure for sure (you need to check on a real truck), but the TGX model of the 3rd generation, unlike the 2nd, does not seem to have orange glasses (lamps) on the headlights, as the SCS portrayed.

Make three correct guesses in a row - and you are guaranteed a reputation as an expert.

If someone tells you that something is possible, they are almost certainly right. If he claims that something is impossible, he is very likely wrong.
