Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
@xXCARL1992Xx answered perfectly right; any graphic card can do ray tracing (it's just another calculation sent to it to be done). Problem is that those calculations are MASSIVE (really, in a degree that has no comparison with any other workload a graphic card has to do). So, when I said that ray tracing is only available for the biggest new graphic cards, I meant that only those have the raw power enough to succeed when applying that feature on a game in real time.
In case of NVIDIA RTX cards, to increase the efficiency of the process, they had included in the electronics specific modules that are only used for that purpose. As xXCARL1992Xx also said, they are (expensive) dead-weight if you don't play games with ray tracing. And considering that graphic cards (and any microchip) raw power isn't going to grow on next years as much as on previous and that ray tracing IS dependent on the 3D scene complexity (something that will keep growing for sure); that's why I don't foresee it to be feasibly activated with mid-tier graphic cards in a long time (unless when playing games a lot older than the graphic card itself, of course)
Regards
Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
it's interesting. hmm Event/competition/other formWe’re excited to announce that
@SCSsoftware
and DAF are adding 14 Unity Edition paint jobs to the XF Tuning Pack DLC in ETS2!
A very cool give-away will make it able for you to get it for free
Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
I believe it will be just like Michelin DLC/Scharzmuller DLC, the Old "Gleam" way, follow social media and youtube channels of SCS and Daf to get your Key.
Also for those who already Have the Xf running DLC will just get it in an update.

More likely a #ShowYourDAF twitter/insta affair. They've only down those "follow us" type things for new DLC, not for existing ones.

The mirrors : are they painted or are they a new style?
Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
@Virgo91 in real life its a style to match with the strips... Maybe in the game will be able to use plastic/chrome/painted in this style...
@Audi123000 i would believe in a Screenshot Competition because is the # used by SCS on instagram at June 24.

I would prefer SCS to fix at least the dashboard in XF106 so that it is actually useable, before adding more cosmetics
