[ARCHIVED] SCS General Discussion Thread
Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
I'm pleased with the 49X, it's practically what I needed in my Fleet, I felt the Anthem kind lagged behind with heavier loads, not to mention on rough terrain.
In a world full of swift drivers, I'm an O/O.

Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
Two things I wonder about ETS2:
- Will the liftable steerable axles ever be fixed? To be honest, why make ATS dictate the standards of this? Liftable steerable axles are 100 times more common on European trucks and trailers, so why on earth did the devs change this at all?
- A 2-axle flatbed trailer obviously can't take the same cargo weight as a 3-axle version, but in the game it does though.

Sounds aren't a biggie, just add the truck to one of the engine sound mods.

Makes sense.xXCARL1992Xx wrote: ↑30 Sep 2020 16:48 if i understood Oscar right Western Star wanted to do a "synchronised" release, they contacted SCS to make the truck ingame and not the other way around, if SCS would have contacted them first they surely wouldnt have rushed it to make it to the release of the real truck
Best Regards.

So, apparently the WS factory prefab has always been in the game (or at least as early as 1.35), complete with parking markers, except with Kenworth props... I didn't know about this. It's nice to see that SCS have planned so far ahead.

Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
So no WOtr event either , any other reason for maintenance ?
I'm mostly disappointed in the 49x because theres a good chance all available vehicle devs were on this project. So not only did we get an incomplete 49x, but theres the possibility other truck projects were delayed.
Also SCS dont have to, but what would of been the harm in telling us upfront that this is an ongoing project due to the current global situation.

3 people did work on the truck, do you really believe Western Star would let a whole department of maybe 10 to 15 people onto a truck that isnt released yet ? to much risk of leaking information, nothing was delayed because of it

It's been there since Oregon released two years ago.

I really do enjoy the truck in the short day cab variant. And the accesories, black with stripes that give it this industrial heavy truck, me like it.
