Holly cow. You guys without wheels are really dedicated. There is no way I can go back to playing any driving game on any platform without a wheel. I take that back, only game I can play with a joystick is Grand Turismo because that is the game that I started on. Anything else, a wheel is a must for me. I usually don't have the money to buy one flat out myself but with a credit card, I look at it like it's financed. In 2,3,4 months or how ever long it takes, it will eventually get paid off.

1942 hours of ETS 2 with the keyboard here. :D
Certainly not the best option, but with the ideal steering sensitivity adjustment, everything works fine. However you need to be patient while maneuvering. Especially for the doubles.

I haven't bothered to read the comments, but it probably spawns from the fact that vehicle models ARE fair use in film/TV with logos removed. The reason for this is that they can't realistically be expected to design and make all their own vehicles that might appear on the show.

In games it's a little trickier. GTA gets away with it because the car models aren't replicas, while it's clear they are based on real world models there are enough differences to get away with it.

In SCS titles they might also class as fair use because they are not drivable, they aren't the focus, but they are required to make the game feel alive.

Playable vehicles on the other hand, absolutely not. They are a selling point of the game so they must be licensed.

I'm aware some years back EA were sued by a helicopter company for having their helicopters appear in one of their battlefield titles without permission. Fair use is a big grey area, there's no 100% rule on what is and isn't acceptable in this situation.

They could probably get away with AI cars and vans, but there's very little to be gained here at a cost of possibly stirring a deep pocketed hornet's nest. Trucks otoh are a no go, as you've said, they're the main selling point. No sane judge in any jurisdiction would allow that as fair use.

Quick question about the Grand Gift delivery event - if you complete the requirements, and claim your reward, you will still have that reward even if the profile you completed the event on gets overwritten, deleted, etc., right?
