There's nothing wrong with expressing concern, but it's not up to SCS to inform us of the private lives of their employees. In fact, it would be strictly against the law in most European countries. If you did make friends with them while on their US trip, then you should have other ways of getting in touch.

@arthurcfbr. Ditto. Virtual friends is a good way to put it. Cyber friend....whatever you want to call it. These guys are on live streams. We can relate to these guys now. Their names just have more meaning once we can put a face to the name. For those that have met any of the devs in person, its a notch above just putting a face to the name. When I met them, they felt like celebrities to me. To met devs from a game I adore was awesome.

Even by having other means of contact away from here, if they are not well, how will they respond. Carthoo has not even logged into this site in awhile. I can see him logging in and just staying silent. But this is different.

Whatever it is, it's no one's business to discuss, only Carthoo has the right to say anything about himself

Hear, Hear! I've so many friends I've not hear about in years. Still not my business to know what they're up to.
I learned that "no news is good news" thing - it's kept me calm for as long as it has. They're probably fine, just keeping busy with their own lives.

Wherever he is, how he feels or what is doing... let's just hope he has enough coffee at hand. ;)

PS: He will need it once he returns and has to endure all the accumulated questions we will have for him.

Many of you are mixing up personal business with general welling being info. Is he okay yes/no. Did he leave the company yes/no. Simple. I have to disagree that silence does not always mean busy. Not in the situation the world is in now is all I am saying.

I am on here quite frequently. Daily, hourly for the most part. I can guarantee if I was missing for a month without signing in, at least one person or more would notice and ask......and I am not even a dev. I get @mention a lot, pm'ed a lot. A new blog, tweet, IG, I get notifications from new news and if I don't respond, it will get noticed. I am not saying I am some hot shot by any means. I am just saying that's how active I am around here and it will be noticed. But I'll leave the subject alone for those of you offended by those of us that are concerned.

@flight50 I would issue a missing persons report if you didn't log on the whole day.
