Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
I was thinking about EA the other day and how outdated their in-game news feed is in most of their games (and so have been for ages). Luckily that doesnt't happen to SCS tittles.

This year's FIFA should be great. PLay half a season then sit around twiddling thumbs for 4 months.

Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
Erm, no. There's like two "one size fits all" boxes, with tiny height differences for SM/Krone trailers, and a couple of accessories (sideguards and paintable cooler units), that's about it. Oh, and food tanks, which are... meh, couldn't care less about those.
They did it this way because they can get away with it. It's just a sensible business decision, "minimally viable product" and all that.

Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
there are no "minor hight differences", the templates for the boxes dont fit 1:1 over each other, why they did it like that and not just coordinated between the people to make the templates at least overlapping i dont know

Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
Probably because they were made at different times. All the more reason to overhaul them (after agreeing to a single texture mapping standard). But I guess it's too much work with zero return (can't even hype it up since visually it would stay the same and who cares what's under the hood), so... same business decision.
