if you want the new merc right now, mod the mirrors off and use the F2 mirrors. Same deal.

it is aerodynamic, mos of these designs are build on it, more curves, better aerodynamic and the rest will be designed around it
Aerodynamic hardly matters if the fastest you can go is 55 mph. LOL

haha, very funny, not

aerodynamics matter more then you think if you drive with a wall against air

I'm a bit confused about this new hydrogen fuel cell truck from Mercedes-Benz. Is it a production model truck that is planned to release soon, or is it another ones of those working prototype trucks that doesn't necessarily ever make it to the market but rather influences the technology of the future trucks? I also keep reading that SCS has hinted or teased a new Mercedes-Benz truck, but I don't see where that is. Did they actually tease something somewhere, or is that just a rumor?

nothing was teased, and the Hydrogen Truck is more a concept study, doubt it will come in this form on the market, the tech behind it maybe, the Mirror Cams were one of those from the first gen

It's a concept, so one or 2 exist. Not production at all. [that's impression I get from the germenglish translated video I watched]
There's nothing teased by SCS about any Mercedes stuff. Only thing new atm is the paintjob pack which I'm just a couple cents short of buying.

In regards to new truck, I'm not implying that it will be this year or next year even. But eventually there will be a new truck the ETS2 fan base can have instead of worrying about how many new trucks are coming to ATS. Seems like that is what is pissing people off. ATS has very few trucks currently and people don't get that, understand that or just flat out don't care. Its all about them. SCS is trying to get ATS trucks but people are pissed because no new trucks are mentioned/teased for ETS2. The devs seriously can win for losing. Eventually ATS trucks will slow down, then what will people complain about. Well ATS has (x) CAD modeled trucks...ATS is getting more love. It will always be something one game has over the other. But SCS would never stop supporting their bread an butter title with such a huge fan base.

To those who think that aerodynamics don't matter at the speed that trucks go in Europe, they are also denying e.g. the effect of roof mounted deflectors and the aerodynamic advantage of conventional tractors over cabovers. There have actually been legal preparations to allow for more length if that is used to make a cabover more aerodynamic.

Drag means more than just a wedge or teardrop shape. As a small funny example, Volvo 740 (yeah, that ugly boxy wagon fron early 80s) had a slightly better Cx than Lamborghini Countach.
I have approximate knowledge of many things
