Getting this message from firefox when logging into your site:

"Your connection is not secure

Thank you, @SiSL. :)
IMHO, it should use SSL: usernames, passwords and PM texts are going through Internet in clear text. :o
Nowadays, SSL certificates are really cheap for a company ( here example of prices).

Kind regards.

Why? it's not like you divulge banking or personal information here either in public by PM or during registration?

And if you're using an e-mail and password dedicated to this persona only (in other words I use a specific e-mail as Reef) then you have nothing to worry about, it's a text based forum not an Ebay shop or a bank login portal.
Nope.. I got nothin'

Hi Reef,

Ok, you and me know how to deal with public traffic, but I don't know if others know about it. There are MANY users.
Do you know if someone is posting personal data in PMs? Do you know if others use their real names as username?
If SCS can afford SSL certificates, because those are really cheap (for a company), why should they not use them, if it is a regular practice, in special when authentication/login is involved? If they can prevent problems with a few dollars, why not do it?
IMHO, money is not the only private part of people. Private information goes beyond money, and traffic goes through Internet, it is not an intranet.

Kind regards.

I get what you're saying and to a point agree, but at the end of the day is it SCS's job/responsibility to protect people from their own stupidity/naivety?

Ask me anything about my personal life in public or in PM and you'll get the same response, mind your own business!
Nope.. I got nothin'

I've been saying this since the early 1990's... There is no such thing as a 100% secure website.

I'm a 32" inside leg, 34" waist and a 46" belly. There. That's my personal details outed!
Nothing is foolproof to the talented fool.

I'm writing a book on plagiarism. It wasn't my idea.
