Re: Common SCS Forum Abbreviations
Ah! So LZV stands for "Longer and Heavier Lorry Combination?"
Re: Common SCS Forum Abbreviations
@supersobes LZV means Langere en Zwaardere Vrachtautocombinatie, the Dutch abbreviation for a double trailer.
FRC is devided in the different letters: F means cooling unit, R means reinforced isolation, C defines the temperature zone (+12°C to -20°C)
I may suggest adding midlift (a truck with a liftable axle in the middle). And rear/taglift (truck with a rear lift axle) which is also known as a boogie

Alright, I've added it all to the list. I think I understood it and wrote it correctly. If not, let me know what needs fixed.
Re: Common SCS Forum Abbreviations
GmbH: “Gesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung,” which means "company with limited liability" in German. It's a suffix used after a private limited company's name in Germany.
For example, LKW Log GmbH in ETS2

Ah, yes. That's a good one. I always wondered what the name of that ETS2 company meant. So it means "Log Trucks LLC." That's cool!

Re: Common SCS Forum Abbreviations
There's the Italian equivalent S.r.l that we can see (at least) on the S.A.L.S.R.L forestry company in Italy DLC.
And in Iberia LDC we probably will see something equivalent in the form of S.A. (and maybe we could even see some S.L.). Those are the acronyms for "Sociedad Anónima" and "Sociedad Limitada"; two legal forms to create a company in Spain. There are more, but those two, specially S.A., is very common (also appearing as xxxxSA at the end of a company name that's entirely and acronym).
I'm sure that if SCS catch the atmosphere as well as they always do, we will see some of those.
I don't think they will be something we will use for the forum conversations, but if you want to add them regarding the game itself for people to know that, it's good too.
Regards

Re: Common SCS Forum Abbreviations
@Some newbie driver Even if they're not discussed on the forum, if they show up in ETS2, then it's probably good to add them.
The full name for SCS is SCS Software s.r.o. What does this mean in Czech, and how does it translate to English? It might be good to add this one too.

How about BDF=Bundesverband des Deutschen güter-Fernverkehrs
FMOD sound modder for ATS and ETS2
Re: Common SCS Forum Abbreviations
Another addition would be BAG - Bundesamt für Güterverkehr, the German federal office for commercial transport
