'al' depot gets some serious updates along with Iberia. Possibly a cargo pack?
I wish it to be a tuning pack - Either Renault tuning pack or Iveco/MAN along with their latest model.

Wake me up when it's an assigned DLC package like AL & Iberia.

Also according to the history, AL hasn't had an update for 3 months.

Oh that happens with everything. If you look deeper you'll see it was updated with some public_beta branch updates too.

It's just the manifest that is being made compatible for that update version. Just like a mod when the author updates the versions file to keep it working. Means nothing.
