Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
Dear @SiSL, even your cabin accessories mod that worked on 1.39 patch, will permanently crash the game now?

Western Star 49X Sleepers!!! I'll never need another truck again, here's hoping they updated the sounds too and it'll be one heck of a truck.

Why do I often get asked to synchronize steam cloud with local files? To download from the cloud to PC or vice versa...
I have Steam and my games on only one PC and I have steam cloud turned on.
Does anyone else face this issue?

I don’t see it happening but I still wish for the set back axle variant of the 49X.

Why should it crash the game? It might and it might not

@Edoo_Kaplan Is your internet stable? That's a sign that the game is having trouble syncing when you exit the game. When you finish playing do you see the synchronsing happen in Steam?

Old HDR option changed the colors but wasn't a real HDR experience (as like HDR is technically defined by all the industry). Let's say it was a trick that SCS included to the graphics, something like a color pallette shift. That's why they let us select which version we prefer.F4R35 wrote: ↑03 Feb 2021 19:08I don't want to be the guy who complain about everything, I really love the new lighting system, but Seriously, I've been playing woth HDR off for the past 8 years and 4 months, and I want to keep it that way as I don't like bloom, if The toggle to turn of HDR is gone, then I'm no longer playing
Now in 1.40 the game already renders the scene with real HDR. That means that the render generates a higher diversity of colors (10 bits per channel, instead of the usual 8); so the details specially on deep shadows and high lighted zones, will be more visible. The HDR option is gone because there will be no more two "sets of colors" to be shown by the game so we could select. Now we all will see the game in a single color pallette as intended (of course, with the variations caused by everyone monitor and gamma presets and all of that). And in the future, when they fully enable that function (now it only works internally at render phase); those with HDR compatible GPU and monitors would be able to see more rich color everywhere.
The final HDR activation could depend on lots of things that we don't know at all, but they leveraged the opportunity of the changes in lighting to start including its basics into the game. So they don't have to touch again the same code later for that reason.
