SCS General Discussion Thread
Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
I'm not the kind of multiplayer guy,but I'm super excited for the convoy mod, I would love to join a VTC with some people from the forums and go on convoys together, Convoy mode is a great upgrade to the Game.

I was wondering... Are we ever going to see the new V8's from Scania on ETS2 ?? I know there was something cooking between SCS and Scania a while ago but it went all quiet...

Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
Super stoked for an official multiplayer!! Hopefully some mod support included
Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
Official multiplayer will be very nice for many people, but not for me (not only ETS2 and ATS, but generally). So I hope there will be other stuff in 1.41 as well (it will be, I am sure )!

Okay then you non-multiplayers just make your own convoys together and all the multiplayer fans make theirs. Problem solved

I was wondering this too. Because it doesn't require a big development, right? The badge and some adjustments in the def files I think. And it's.. noisy because SCS and Scania have a good relationship.

Licensing issues most likely. The badge is copyright and requires licensing just like any other part.
Just because they used to have a good relationship, doesn't mean the same is true now. Legal departments change all the time, which means the people and requirements will change. Given that it's just a badge and engine info they could knock it out in a single day. The fact we don't have it makes it clear Scania don't wanna play ball or are simply asking too much for it.
