For peterbilt, the time from the first teasing to the launch was around 2 weeks. For Kenworth, it was around 10 days. We can expect such a timeframe for DAF too.

Agreed. However that was intentional due to the suspense factor. I’ll take care of it while posting links from now on!

I don’t expect any to be honest, at least not until a launch date is announced.

Sorry for asking - I'm not so up to date - but where from do you know that DAF will be the next truck? Does SCS teased it somehow?

We're just theorizing. Nothing official has been said by SCS. We are just wondering if the same thing that happened to Renault can happen to DAF.

It didn’t happen to Peterbilt and Kenworth though, given they too are Paccar companies. So who knows? Or what if we get all three together! :P

I believe the new DAF is expected to be released sometime in the fall at the earliest. I doubt we'll hear anything from SCS about it until then, assuming there even is anything to be said.

Agreed. At this point, I don’t even care, I’m content with the 2017 facelift. Also, not all manufacturers need to be like Daimler or Renault. Manufacturers are the masters in this case. They’ll come when they’ll come. There are already many trucks that are to be added, I wouldn’t mind this one waiting for a while.

In the end, it’s another new truck, but this time with all those new length restrictions and this being the first truck to conform to those, the hype is a bit more.

Oh definitely. Don't get me wrong, I'm not playing down the hype. This is a first proper new DAF in ages, it most certainly is a big thing. It's just too early to get excited about it in terms of our game.
