I'm not hungover, which is somehow both a welcome surprise and a resounding disappointment.

@Virgo91 Since 50 is the new 30, you're barely out of your diapers, kid.

The perception of time moves more quickly as you get older. When you are younger you are having more "first" experiences, they experiences create more unique memories which makes the days and years seem longer in retrospect.

As we get older we don't have so many new experiences, just variations on a theme, so the memory of the events is not as strong making us feel like things move faster as we get older. Remember just 3 week ago people were complaining how bad lockdown is... oh wait. That was 8 months ago. My bad.

I am unprepared for a philosophical discussion. Can we whine that it's January 1st and open beta hasn't started yet, instead?

The best thing about getting older is that I'm getting more and more grumpy

I did the same as you -- all jobs in ATS, then started a few in ETS2. I noticed the pay to be substantially higher in ETS2 for some reason. Though maybe I unwittingly did longer jobs, or maybe I don't really understand km.

Retirement? Our retirement plan is more likely to be the total social collapse.

^That's a relief.
We don't have to wait that long then
