Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
You’d think a music aficionado or even professional should insist on good audio hardware. I don’t doubt his equipment is decent. Then again I’ve been thinking about whether there’s some other “personal” or “emotional” relation that gets him to keep his job.
More neutrally, I’d like it if at least all engines on one ETS2 truck got their own sound.

@harishw8r Yep,the fuel gauge needle is barely going down. Also,in my opinion,it is one of the most stable trucks.
Not that i usually drive like a racing driver, but the truck still is very stable.

Iveco Stralis Hi-Way in game has a strange sound. It seems a kind of overlapping.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. You would have to adjust the sound mix. In broad terms, the mixture is right, but there could be more. Which I would also find cool if there were motors to choose from that had installed the flap system. Would make more sense with the V8 Scania. Those who want to drive with a flap buy the appropriate motor, which of course will also be available without a flap. So he mixes the sounds to "sound good" for his musical ear, problem is: because of that, they don't sound realistic at all.

Engines, exhaust and cabinet are all part of the sound package

Mixing the sound properly takes some effort, but it's not really difficult. I used to mix sounds for bands and did it professionally for about 5 years. That would just have to be reworked. As I mentioned in a post about someone else, you could make the sound with and without a flap on the V8 Scania, since you can buy the corresponding engine. Would be an idea.

@Virgo: If I’m not wrong, that’s because it has cab suspension like the American trucks, at the back of the cab which, apparently doesn’t model (or the cab suspension is really stiff)

When do you think this will come to ATS? 2 years?

The new Pete looks a whole lot better than the old pete/new Ken. If anything from Peterbilt or Kenworth, I’d like to see this truck first. This truck kinda grows on me.
