Hopefully, SCS will take so much to implement it that give time French authorities to regain their common sense and retire that utterly ridiculous and stupid sticker.

What about domestic trucks that only haul within the UK? Do they still need to have their limiter set to 90 km/h? AFAIK, domestic trucks can still have their limiter set at 96 km/h (60 MPH). Not that 6 km/h makes much of a difference anyway though.

The map U.K should be completely reconstructed, perhaps even on a better scale to have more of the major cities and geographical areas, such as the Scottish and Welsh mountains, English mountains and other areas like Cornwall and York.

Most road laws in the UK mimic our former EU overlords. Unless your vehicle has a legal exemption to not have a limiter (Emergency/Army vehicles and other vehicles of the crown) a limiter is required.

Whether this will change in future remains to be seen.

Speed limiters are designed to reduce accidents. They limit the maximum speed of a vehicle by restricting the fuel supply to the engine. Having a speed limiter may mean that your vehicle can’t reach the speed limit.

Goods vehicles (more than 7.5 tonnes maximum laden weight) in England and Wales 30mph (48) 50mph (80) 60mph (96) 60mph(96)
Goods vehicles (more than 7.5 tonnes maximum laden weight) in Scotland 30mph(48) 40mph (64) 50mph (80) 60mph (96)

i see scs put the signs in uk as kph not mph.

@Jacksonshaulage1 Speed limiters cause as many accidents as they prevent. When people bunch up behind slow trucks they start doing stupid things.

What signs do you look at? All the ones in UK are in MPH.

@Trucker_71 those accidents aren't caused by speed limiters; are caused by human stupidity. If their value their life lower than to save a few minutes (if not just seconds) on a trip is their guilt.

Agreed. What isn't mentioned is slow speeds cause accidents as well even when a truck isn't involved. Not sure about other areas of the world, but you can get a speeding ticket for going way under the speed limit with the exception when weather conditions are hazardous which you should not be on the road at all if it's not life or death.

New trucks have so much technology so its impossible to crash and drivers are blame for killing someone or crashing etc
