Not the same gearbox or engine

Volvo fh has 750 and ishift gearbox 2 craw gears 12 speed

Renault t has 520 12 speed gear box

It's the same engines... The only difference is that Renault does not have anything above the 520hp mark, while Volvo does. It still is the same engines between 520 Volvo's and 520 Renault's and below... Same with the transmission, it still is the iShift. Let's put at it this way: Renault is the budget version of Volvo. (Same thing happens in car industry, where two brands are essentially the same but one offers more luxury and power than the other. Ex: Dodge and Plymouth.).

Do you even know Volvo makes engines less than 750 hp hmm I guess not since you are comparing a 16 litre to a 13 litre, and a fh750 is gonna be a rare sight in big fleets guess what, they dont use all of 750 hp, and also Volvo does make many engines besides the "16L 750hp" one for instance like I said Renault uses rebadged Volvo engines, for gearboxes im not sure. And a ishift with crawlers probably wont be used in regular transport I dont see the use in crawlers with a regular trailer...

Renault also has 12+2, but only on C and K. Renault engines and transmissions are heavily based on Volvo ones, just like Volvo US and Mack ones.

My Father drives a 2008 Renault Premium, After 13 years and 1.3 million KM on the Odometer still runs like a champ! It never left him stranded, and never been towed!

To be fair, 64-bit OS became popular at the time of Windows 7, which was released in 2009. Knowing how many people actually held on XP until 2014, the end of extended support for XP, i'm not really surprised.
FalleN_KinG wrote: 26 Nov 2021 13:34 ^ If im not mistaken Renault uses Volvo engines and gearboxes, just different names, and even now their new turbocompund engine could be just a copy of volvos turbocompound couple years ago, just sayin. And if they were that bad they would be in a situation like Navistar with their Maxforce engines lawsuit...
Renault and Mack use Volvo Engines and gearboxes.

Engine equivalencies :
Volvo D11 = Renault DTi11 = Mack MP7
Volvo D13 = Renault DTi13 = Mack MP8
Volvo D16 = Mack MP10 (Only available in australia and europe, the D16/MP10 was discontinued in North America in 2017)

That said they do have differences in tuning, but still the same basis

For manual transmissions, Only difference is that the manual transmission that Mack make, the MaxiTorque, date from before Mack was bought by Renault, so way before it was acquired by Volvo.
Renault on it's side used Volvo manual transmissions on it's range (not listed anymore BTW), simply changed the first letter for the model number (MT instead of VT)

For the automated transmissions, the iShift, Optidriver/Optidriver+ and mDrive are all of the same design, with the main difference being the programmation and the paintjob on those.

Need to check my brochures again, but I think the 12+1 and 12+2 version of the automated transmission are actually available for the Range T, but only listed in a few countries (the brochures actually differ on a few available options depending on the country it's made for.)

Also small note concerning VTNA (Volvo Trucks North America) and Mack Trucks :
VTNA used to sell the Volvo manual transmissions (with Eaton being an option), but discontinued them when they changed generation for the VNL in 2003 If i'm not mistaken (that said the i-Shift was only introduced in 2007 in north america, so i'm not sure if they continued making the VT manual transmission until 2007 or if they discontinued it in 2003)
Mack never sold Volvo manual transmissions, but instead they (and still sell) Maxitorque manual transmissions. That said the mDrive IS basically a rebranded Volvo i-Shift

If what you say is true, we won't see these many other truck brands on the road & they would run out of business years earlier.
