Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
Will World of Trucks maintenance be needed before the release of Update 1.42 Release?

Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
The current Open Beta is running on main WoT server, not on the Beta branch, so most likely nope.
I have approximate knowledge of many things

Are you sure? Kind of surprising that you would allow different versions connect to production
[EDIT] Sorry openbeta.worldoftrucks.com is not active, you are right

This signature virus has been spliced with the Fundementalism-B virus to create a new more contagious strain. Please look for it infecting a signature near you.

Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
Why would we be on OB WoTr? There's no map changes in 1.42.

As I wrote
And yes, no need to change to the beta servers as you do not have changes to the mapplykkegaard wrote: ↑21 Oct 2021 09:19 Kind of surprising that you would allow different versions connect to production

Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
They have made this 1.42 a very focused update on two specific things. That allowed them to skip some steps that are usual during most OB.
This fact also pretty confirms that they aren't going to add any teased map change (Iberian roads, Austria rework...) in a later stage of the beta like some people speculated. Wouldn't had been the first time it happens, but seems it's not going to be this time.

Funny thing is on the Iberian Roads post, it said somewhere that it will most probably be out sometime this year. But then again if I recall 1.32 and 1.33 were released 2 months apart back in 2018 so there's still that small gap.

Yes, to have as many mods as possible to be used in convoySome newbie driver wrote: ↑21 Oct 2021 11:16 They have made this 1.42 a very focused update on two specific things.

Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
If you take this literally, we would have to get out of OB this month to have the remaining 2 months for more content this year. If OB stretches to November, that gap would be even smaller with just under 60 days to release a new version with map changes.
