I'm working at a firm this summer, and for my cases I use a virtual desktop to access the confidential client files and information stored on the firm's servers. I can't transfer things between the desktop and my regular PC without it being a big pain in the butt. Many lawyers are working almost permanently from their homes these days and dealing with confidential files and cases via a virtual desktop. I don't see that being a big deal in game development but that's a whole different industry from the one I'm in to be fair.

It may a pain to deal with from a technical standpoint, but when a leak could potentially ruin a business you've been building for 30 years of your life - yeah, not a risk I'd easily take, if at all.

3D modeling is probably not the best experience on a virtual desktop

Not really. If range is 800km (real range), then it should work. You drive for 4.5h (then, you have 45 minutes brake - when you charging). 4.5h on motorway is around 300-350km you can make. Still about half of battery left. You are charging it for 45 minutes, so you should have not less than 70% of battery - drive another 4.5h - without much of a problem. Then, you have your daily brake which is 11h. Battery fully charged.
This is with assuption, that you can recharge at every parking - which is, of course, not true.

A human takes 6-8 hours to recharge for the rest of the day and yet I don't see anyone complaining

Well, it seems by the weekend WoTr event will be finished on the milestone of 80,000,000 kms.

Don't know if we are going to have a blog post today about another topic -stuff related to 1.42- or not.
