There’s no camera option available even in real life, hence they did not add anything that doesn’t even exist!

But atleast we can expect the Actros 5 as a facelift sooner or later, given how easily they can pull it off due to the design similarity. Let’s see if that happens!

Nice. Hideous, but nice. I'll never use this dashboard, but thank you for this, much appreciated.

As @harishw8r pointed out they aren't an option.
But also, unlike europe where a purely camera based system like the new gen DAFs is allowed, it is sadly not allowed in the US.
Kenworth has a similar system to that of DAF (both being PACCAR and all that) but still requires physical mirrors for compliance.

The main reason for that is that physical mirrors work without power at all, they are passive in action, while digital mirrors use a camera and a display, which means that they need power to work and the appropriate wiring.

So it make sense for the US to actually favor physical mirrors

Yet in europe its completely legal to have no physical mirrors and all cameras.
So clearly isn't that big of an issue.

And if your camera based system brakes... well you have the same issue as with physical ones becouse if your physical mirror breaks its just as useless and not exactly road legal.

If your physical mirror breaks, you just had an accident to break it.

If your electronic mirrors breaks on the freeway doing 80mph... Good luck.

Nothing will happen, just flash your hazards and pull to the side! it's not like a tire blowout or a brakes failure!
