I got it the day ot was released as a physical copy! Then back in Juin 2014 I installed Steam, activated my base game and Going eatst dlc codes, and never used the legacy version again :)

Happy b'day ETS2. I have to say that having picked it up on release, I didn't expect it to turn into such a success story. I figured it'd be just like ETS, just slightly bigger and fresher. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I'd still be playing it 9 years later.

I bought the web version in August 2013 and play until 2016 (with Going East). I started playing again in May 2020 when I bought a new PC and buying the steam version with all the map DLCs

Happy Birthday ETS2 🎉 🥳
It's really hard to reach 9 years of a game keeping always updated with new things and with an always active player base!

Happy bday ETS2! I remember reading about it in a spanish truck sim forum. First tried out the version from the Jack's Sparrow docks  and a year later, I bought it with Going East DLC.

It really helped my mental health A LOT during 2014 when I was unemployed. Participated in the TWC2020 just "let's see what's about" and ended winning amazing prizes... I never ever imagined that.

And also, I met wonderful people in different ETS2 groups.

Cheers!
