Re: 1.41.0.18s Crash to desktop when swapping trucks [158386]
Been doing some additional testing, and it is only to do with UK Cab variants, and it is only when swapping trucks. Loading first into the game with a UK cab works completely fine, Bought a new truck with a Euro left hand side drive and its swapped over ok. Trying to then upgrade the truck to UK cab it crashes again as before.
Hope this additional info can help.

I have posted it as a separate bug but the same thing happens when customising a truck changing paint jobs etc also on a UK varient

When I first started in the UK, I crashed when I bought a right-hand drive truck.
However, it did not crash when I bought a left-hand drive truck.

Been having the same issue ever since the game updated to 1.41. I am currently on v1.41.1.1s. Tried testing for mod conflicts, driver updates, windows updates, new profile, uninstalling the game, deleting all old files and folders including the "mod" folder, using a registry cleaner to ensure all fragments were removed and then reinstalling the game. Looking at the game log before embarking on the troubleshooting journey mentioned above, almost all the warnings went away after I disabled the offending mods, but all jobs (quick and freight market) originating in the UK or using a RHD truck still cause the game to crash. Please help!

I actually just noticed yesterday that I have the same issue. My main garages are based in the UK swapping to my stored trucks with the UK right hand drive crashes the game and you have to restart it to play game but again on trial in crashes again. I have seen comments of people saying they have had a quick play before going back to their owned trucks don't know if that could be a factor adding to this, had a friend who played quick play using my profile a few days ago before I discovered this problem yesterday.

Another member has created a different thread for what appears to be the same problem. In that thread, a developer has suggested that unchecking the "Keep Route Advisor Hidden" option seems to temporarily take care of the problem until SCS patches it. If someone from this thread could try the same and let us know if it works. During troubleshooting, I deleted all my profiles and reinstalled the game. Since I wanted to keep playing, I chose a garage that's too far away from the UK, so it will take me a while to take enough quick jobs to reach at least one destination in the UK or purchase my own truck. So in the meantime, it would be great if someone could check it out for me. Thanks in advance!

As I understand it, the hidden route advisor crash is specific to VR.
But definetely test it to be sure.

Tired disabling the "Keep Route Advisor Hidden" option, and I can report that it works for non-VR, at least for the time being. I can now take quick jobs that originate in the UK with RHD trucks
