The LOGITECH steering wheel stopped working properly.

#1 Post by Warryor3D » 01 Oct 2021 00:35

Good morning, SCS Software.

Testing the BETA 1.42 I notice that the LOGITECH G923 steering wheel that I use is incompatible and its functionality has changed notably, what I did not like was the centering mode that is not fluid, I check the ranges in minimum mode, I let it work and in Medium mode or high you can see that it is not fluid when centering. Low RPM looks good, but a low level of +1 looks good and going up to a medium or high level is crazy it doesn't work properly. I recognize that this is a beta version, but you should not forget the configuration of the LOGITECH steering wheel, do not focus so much on the other new model, remember that there are many users with accessible steering wheels.

This is my point of view of appreciating the BETA on the subject of the steering wheel.

I perceive this and its functionality is definitely intolerant. the way the steering wheel is returned does not please me at all. I hope this is solved and is on point.

There's an old saying, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".

Prior to the 1.42 FFB 'update', there was nothing wrong Logitech FFB, I had a perfectly 'realistic' feel on my G920 ... this latest 'update' has turned my G920 to mush!

A backwards step in my opinion. Reverting back to 1.41 until this issue is fixed.

It may not have been broken for you before, but it was for others.

That vibration you are getting when your truck is stopped and idling can be fixed by adjusting the "Engine Resanance" slider All the way to the Left.

@TruckerWarryor , if you have Logitech's Gaming Software installed, uninstall it and use their latest G-Hub software (Gaming Software hasn't been updated since 2018 and I'm pretty sure it has been replaced by G-Hub).

My apologises to SCS, looks like I'm the dumb one here

Using G-Hub is not an option for people who are using multiple older Logitech devices.

I also use G29 and have the same problem. I've already spent a few hours try to setting it up, but so far I haven't been able to set it up as good, as "realistic" as before the update.
I don't know how the whole thing works, but maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea (if it's possible) to give there a choice between the new FFB and the old FFB system.

Like DX11 and FMOD, no you can't have a choice of both.
