"never mind, the issue is known and the value will be taken from map as well in some of future builds (1.43 maybe)." does say otherwise, and even if it is only for Convoy and not for the normal gameplay, what Max saw can very well be just a developer cheat to test out different map scales to work correctly in convoy and will be removed in the public build like 90% of the dev tools we dont have

Hmm, its true. Sorry for my misinterpretation of the word 'maybe', it could have been the translator's discrepancy. (sometimes I use it)
Re: Mods adjusting timescale not working in 1.42 beta convoy mode [KNOWN]
well, but i really meant that in 1.43 it might be moddable. actually, i hope it will be, but it depends on how things will go.
the current time_compression in multiplayer config is apparently just experiment for at least some settings, but the correct way it to use map settings.

Nobody can tell you anything about it. Those who know about it aren't allowed to talk. And those who talk know nothing.

Hi @Max,
Well, in October we tried to perform the procedure to modify the time speed. You explained that it was not possible in 1.42 but maybe in 1.43 it would be a possibly released feature.
So in 1.42, when we tried it before we found out that it would not be possible, it returned the following errors:
[mod] Mod package 'Escala_Real' does not contain a manifest file 'manifest.sii', creating default information set.
[unit] File '<C:/Users/Reis/Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/mod/Escala_Real.zip | >/def/multiplayer_config.sii', line 6:
[unit] The unit '.multiplayer.config' of type 'multiplayer_config' has no attribute named 'time_compression'.
load_unit_tree() - Failed to load unit tree from file (/def/multiplayer_config.sii)
And now in 1.43, it returned just that:
[unit] Ignored unknown attribute time_compression = 6.0
Does that mean there has been some progress? Should I change the way I write the command to the multiplayer_config file?
And thats how my file looks like:

In another profile, which has no mods, just this one for testing, my developer panel looks like this:

And compared to the image above, I just put the value in parentheses (6.0)

Re: Mods adjusting timescale not working in 1.42 beta convoy mode [KNOWN]
yes. the progress is that there is no specific "time_compression" for multiplayer and proper value is read from map.
it should work in this way in 1.43 and newer.

Re: Mods adjusting timescale not working in 1.42 beta convoy mode [KNOWN]
Hmm... so when it works, "time compression" is still the command that will make it happen?
Re: Mods adjusting timescale not working in 1.42 beta convoy mode [KNOWN]
nope. such command nor attribute do not exist.
timescale is set properly by map in both single and multiplayer.
