I can't update my mod. Reports an error regarding "mat" files.

Note in Blender when the mode is converted it does not report an error, the in-game mode works without errors

when you change some values in the material attributes, a new mat file will be created with a different name. make sure you replace the pmd and pmg, place the new mat in /automat/ folder and make sure the tobj is in the right place.

Yes, I did that too, look at the pictures of Blender and the "pit" file where you can see that the locations have changed. If there was a problem with the "mat" file, it would be reported in Blender as well! You can read about everything here.

okay. so you replaced the new pmd and pmg file. and you placed the new mat file in the automat file. and you you set a new path for the tobj file.

Could it be you have old mat files? Delete them.

Yes I deleted the old "mat" files. But then it searches for those same files again when it is updated! When Blender packs the mod then a "mat" file is generated !!! I wrote about it here.

open the pmd file with an editor and post the content in pastebin and post the link here.

the pmd file contains all the mat file locations. so no mat file is listed as an error in your validation.log file.

how do you convert the mod, are you doing it via blender with pack mod ?

if yes, how do you retrieve the data, do you copy the new converted data into your existing mod and just overwrite what is there with the new stuff or do you delete the old files and then copy the new ones in?

because the more i read the more i have the suspicion you just drag and drop the new files into the existing mod to test it ingame and then upload it with all the unused automats still inside the automat folder, if you do that no wonder you get validation errors because there doesnt exist a model for the material to use

if you upload to SW always reconvert the whole mod and use the conversion tools output, dont just throw it into the older version or at least delete the automat folder before you do it so all unused automat files are gone
