SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

I just created a mod using Paintjob Packer. It is a skin job for Scania R cabs. But when I go into the game this skin does not appear in the paintjob list.

Update:
I am at a complete loss, my brain hurts. I finally created a Scania skin mod that shows up. I updated the cabin.dds file to be just a grey (carbon fibre) colour. When I select this skin in paintjobs it changes the cabin skin to a bright pink colour! HOW?!
I then changed the cabin.dds to a full template and it still produced the bright pink colour!

@bruteforceoap
Did you use DXT5 for compression?

Bright pink might mean the game can't find the texture you're specifying.

@bruteforceoap I'm not sure what's happened there, it sounds like something went wrong with the DDS file. As Trucker_71 said, a texture showing up as bright pink means that the game can't find the file, or couldn't read it for some reason. Double check that you saved it as a DDS in DXT5 format, and you didn't rename or move the DDS file. You could also send me your mod if you like, and I'll see if I can work out what's not working in it

Hi I have a question, I hope not difficult to accomplish. I am modifying the Scania T and T4-series cab templates with a logo on the sides, I would like to customize the color in game, but I have never tried to create an RGB skin, can you explain to me how to achieve this? I had the templates created directly by Paintjob Packer.
I hope I explained myself.

@magicko84 You can make a paintjob with changeable colours using Mods Studio 2, but not using Paintjob Packer unfortunately. That kind of mod is a bit more complicated, and it involves making parts of your texture (the parts you want to be changeable) bright red, green or blue. You then tell the game which colour it needs to be by default in the paintjob's .sii file, but I think Mods Studio handles all of that for you.
I personally don't have any experience making them myself, but hopefully this is enough info to point you in the right direction, you should be able to find more info/tutorials in the Mods Studio thread. Good luck!

@Carsmaniac I would like to thank you for the time dedicated to the program and this topic. A beautiful job that even encouraged me to make skins for the company I participate in. I came across a problem with the iveco stralis hi-way truck. On all trucks I put the same scale as the company's logotype, but on the hi-way it is different from the rest. Has anyone ever experienced this?
