Hi Guys

Decided to come back to this mod and update it a bit, but it doesn't seem to work anymore.
Any idea why this could be? I'm a bit stumped at the moment.

Has something changed with the dds format over the past few ETS2 updates ?

I've re-extracted the base and checked the file name & path for the sign dds's and they're exactly the same. I've tried my mod at the bottom of the mod list but still my signs don't show up.

The only difference I can see is that the original game file DDS is 1.33Mb whilst my modded is 341Kb... but the size, layers, channels etc are all identical and I save as DXT5, generating MipMaps using Photoshop+Nvidia.

What's changed? I'm flumoxed :(

Existing version (1.1) working OK here on v1.13.3.

Did you edit and re-save your current *.dds file(s)? I'm under the impression that dds files should always be started from "scratch", e.g. from a base *.png / *.psd file etc. etc. (I could well be wrong there!!).
I'm writing a book on plagiarism. It wasn't my idea.

Right I figured it out. A True AI Lights mod was clashing with my signs.

And yeah it looks like somewhere down the line I've de/recompressed the textures twice.
I'll try to sort that and tweak a couple of bits for v1.2

One thing I have noticed that is not typical in the UK, is No U-turn signs are not used on the left side of a dual-carriageway. They are always placed prior to central reservation openings or at junctions, and they are usually on/in the central reservation or with the central traffic lights (at junctions). So because you've replaced a sign that is only used on the left side of a carriageway, with one that is used in the centre, the sign is unfortunately more out of place than the no-waiting sign.

Signs are generally placed on the side of the road where they are trying to prevent you, or warn you about committing the offence. So no waiting signs on the left, as that's the side you'd park on, and no U-turn on the right, as that's the direction you would turn to do one. In the US, they'd be reversed...

To be honest though, there are way too many signposts in the city areas. I've just been looking in the editor, and they've gone a bit crazy with them.

The other signs definitely look much better though. :)
This is my global apology to everyone I have probably offended at some point. Sorry for being an ass, no personal offence is ever intended.

I think the regulations actually say that the no U turn sign should be on both sides of the carriageway (or on a dual carriageway, in the centre and on the left) but this is rarely adhered to.

I was just trying to find a common round sign to replace the never-used no waiting signs.

Great work, but is there anyway of replacing the '60' speed limit signs with national speed limit signs? 60mph signs are rarely used IRL.
