While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. Working On New "Realistic" Visuals-V 3.1 - March 8 2020*

#1 Post by Rafaelbc » 21 Jul 2014 14:55

As someone said in another topic, "Realistic" is a strong word, so I'll not say this mod is realistic, but it gives a different visual for the game over the standard ETS 2.

Updated Version - v3.1 - Steam Workshop Only:
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/f ... =731256324

Previous Version - v3.0
Mediafire: http://www.mediafire.com/file/xbwvdcw2d ... NT-3.0.scs
ShareMods: http://sharemods.com/qlz5pue43n1o/FAEL- ... 0.scs.html

Works on ETS 2 V1.3x

I'm basically making the mod all over again, from start. So, I focused it on the Standard Map only. I'll eventually update the textures to better compatibility with Promods, although it might work for now, some bugs might occur - such as textures not matching.

Changelog V3.0

Code: Select all

Def Folder Included - Changed the trees' Lod/fade distance
Changed the trees model on most part of the map. Grass redone. Better variation and adjusted colors
Ground and grass textures reworked
Road textures not included

UPDATE December 18th 2017

Code: Select all

Some trees have been replaced to avoid glitches through bridges. Even though the trees that I had replaced before were not that big, they were still glitching at some places. I replaced them for normal-sized trees.

The grass has been replaced back to the normal ones. I've just adjusted the colors to better match the textures.

The game_data.sii is already included in my mod, but If you use other mod that modifies this file, I recommend to edit the Distance Draw (or LOD) to a better quality environment. Change these lines in the Game_data.sii:

Code: Select all

	leaves_lod_start: (610.0, 410.0, 70.0)
	leaves_lod_end: (660.0, 460.0, 120.0)

OBS: It's very important to set these Graphic Settings at high to get the best visuals with this mod:

VEGETATION DETAIL - HIGH
GRASS DENSITY - HIGH

I like it, some before & after shots for a comparison would be nice :)

Wow, who has been watering that grass

It's like 2 different seasons...massive change. I have to ask, what sort of frame rates are you getting with your mod?

Edit: would be nice to have both around the map. More variety ;)
