And do not tell me if there is a mod or how to make a light day yourself, well, for example, that the sunset would be at seven in the evening and dawn at 6 in the morning. I read that the env data file is responsible for this, there are days and you can change them. In the brutal weather I was looking for there is no such file, can I do it myself or pull it out of the game and how to make the mod and will it work? Or maybe there is a mod? Game version 1.37 Please tell me

@Harag Yes should work with promods like @nemanja694 said.

@Zizu RBW will have log errors etc in 1.40 BETA, no crashes so far but.....

@igormelesh97 You need to add this file: env_data.sii inside def folder of RBW.

@retoucher SCS still is updating the game, I mean even after they implemented DX11, so I think they will work and update the game engine etc as the time goes by.
Either way yes that should / would be nice if in the future they added something like that yes ;)

Tell me where to download env_data.sii, where to get it? And how do I add it to brutal weather?

@igormelesh97 1 of the easiest way is:
1 - Open RBW (WinRAR & 7zip) & look inside the def folder for 1 file for example: game_data.sii
2 - Just drag out that file from RBW that file to somewhere in your PC - You do not need to extract all RBW files
3 - After RENAME the file game_data.sii to env_data.sii
4 - Open the edited file with Notepad or similar and DELETE everything, then just copy & paste this:

Code: Select all

SiiNunit
{
env_profile : env.data {

lamps_on_elevation: 5.0

day_in_year: 172 //summer solstice
summer_time: 1 //+1 hour
}
}
5 - Save the file & DRAG back the file to inside the def folder in RBW mod.
6 - Done

NOTE - You need to edit the day_in_year: 172 for wutever season you want etc and probably the lamps_on_elevation: as well otherwise the lamps will turn on or to early or to late.

Day Of The Year
Keep in mind it goes from 1 to 366.
Winter = Longer Nights and short Days. Summer the opposite, longer Days, short Nights.

@nemanja694 Thanks for the pic, keep them coming ;)

I've sometimes noticed there are 2 suns in the sky, mostly seems to be early morning or evening, any idea what causes this? I do have RGM and it's rain fx mod disabled but maybe they need to be removed completely?

In the screenshot below you can see the bright area off to the left has a sun in the sky (offscreen) and there is one to the right too

@mrdubya Thanks for the pic. Brighter from 1 side does not mean anything really in this case or even if the sun rises or not from same side and there isnt 2 suns, that can actually happen in real live similar to your pic. ;)

Hi Kass,
Thanks for replying, that wasn't a very good screenshot but managed to get a better one (below)
I understand what you mean about the brightness of the sky as I do some landscape photography and have seen some very unusual lighting in real life!
Maybe I've got a strange/corrupt file somewhere if no-one else has experienced this?
