Re: Realistic Rain v3.8.1 for 1.40 [Update 16-03-2021]

@HagenXXV Yes, that's because of using OpenGL... textures are checked for DirectX11, I understand you can't use DX11. It only happens with the particles/spray? Are the raindrops on the windshield/windows correct?

I will look in the future if I can fix it

If it's DDS you may have forgotten mipmaps.

I already fixed the texture in the Workshop version, use Workshop temporarily if you want. I changed the compression method to be compatible with OpenGL ;)

@Igor Nitch Thanks!

New update, v3.8.2:
- Fixed spray/particles of the wheels when used in OpenGL
- Support for the latest versions of Sound Fixes Pack by Drive Safely (Thanks mate!)
- Minor changes in the behavior of the raindrops

The FMOD project has been completely redone to add SFP compatibility, please give me feedback if the sound level is adjusted correctly or a specific sound needs to be increased/decreased in sound level ;)
Download Link on the first post.

The Steam Workshop version was also updated.

Heya! I just first wanna say I love this damn mod. Makes a huge difference in immersion.

Second, I wanted to point out that some thunder sounds cut out a little too early. I recently just uploaded a video and with headphones, it's more noticing. Here's the link:

The thunder sound starts at 0:09.

@schulzkr2604 Thanks!

@RunnyPilot Thanks, nice video. About thunders sounds, most thunder lasts 10-13 seconds, what happens is that with the view from inside the cabin, the sound is greatly reduced and you can only hear a small part of it, for example, with the windows lowered you can hear the sound louder and with more detail, and with the exterior view it is more appreciable.

I could increase the sound level of the thunder sound, but this would distort the sound and deteriorate the quality. While you're actually right, some thunder sounds are reduced in duration, and I applied a "Fade out" so that they all had a similar duration and could sync with each "Flash" in the game.

But I'll keep this in mind for future updates ;)

@Darkcaptain Thanks for the reply!

If I have to suggest, the sound level of the thunder is perfect so please, don't alter that! Just the fact that some thunder sounds fade out a little too fast and sudden so maybe.. add a longer, slower fade out on each sound so that at least it won't be too sudden and will still be synced with the flashes.

Just a suggestion of course. In the end, it's up to you on what you want for YOUR mod. Will look forward to future updates!

@RunnyPilot Of course, all feedback is welcome and meaningful comments make the mod improve.

I will try in future versions to make the thunder sounds fade more smoothly.
