[TOOL] SXC Extractor - Flexible Game Data/Mod File Extraction Tool (UPDATE December 24, 2023)

Forum rules
SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.
Posting in the Mods forum (ATS and ETS2) is restricted to sharing free-to-the-public mods and providing support for mods. For more details, please check the Forum Rules.

The best way to protect mods is not to publish them. ;)

using it the normal way ... files are still accessable and extractable with other software so the purpose with locking ..... you decide
using the exclude/hide features I haven't done so needs a bit investigating - yeah some issues trying to open with certain software... :ugeek:

I was stupid to use the option to encrypt and lost all my work, leaving only the file created by the packer. I want to extract it, but the problem is that the DEF is all encrypted

one should always make backup of files..just in-case something like that happens
anyways, just use the sxc extractor - do some reverse engineering ..shouldn't be any problems as you must know the content of the mod.

I managed to solve it, actually it was pretty easy. Thanks to everyone who helped!

1.41 locale.scs can not be decrypt, I can get the file, but the content is not readable

If something has its directories stripped, is the only way to extract it to do -X and go one by one?

Please tell me what the problem is, when you pack the mod with the help of the sxs packer, some files are not packed and then errors appear in the finished mod in the game because of this.
