Hello Flemming,

Just followed your progress from the sideline as I was occupied with other things. I've finally had the courage to spend the time upgrading to 1.39 including all mods, usually quite a pain timewise. Anyway, I see your progress on solving the shaking of the non-trailer cargo and I can confirm that with the latest beta 139.85 no shaking occurs anymore. But now I seem to have a different issue: it's like I'm hauling 50T when using the non-trailer cargo. I had created a fuel efficient DAF XF with a 370HP engine and could easily get 25-30L/100Km out of it. The same truck now can't even reach 80Km/h on a flat road anymore. It is constantly full throttle and barely reaches 78Km/h. Even a slight slanted road drops to 65-70Km/h and everything consumes a huge amount of fuel (due to the constant full throttle). I've tried a 540HP engine but still the truck is having a hard time getting and keeping 80Km/h, still most of the time with full throttle and consuming even more fuel. It's almost as if the handbrake is on. Any Ideas as to why this is happening?

Using a DAF XF Euro6 chassis 6x4, Refrigerated non-trailer, 7T of cargo

Regards,
Gesture

I will test your problem, but I am almost sure that it's game code that prevent you from driving faster, as I have not touched anything regarding engine performance or so on.
But let me test it and see what could be the problem.

@Flemming V

Yes, we are playing under an open beta and there are still many influences that can result from it.
Without wanting to complain, sometimes I also notice that the engine power is no longer enough, even though the same route could be driven up several times without any problems. Sometimes I have the impression that the truck is simply stuck to the asphalt or weighs a lot, even though that's not the case when we look at the values.

Specifically: I could not drive up a country road with a 9% - 12% increase with a 450HP engine in tandem with a 1x1 drawbar trailer and 16 tons weight.
But I keep watching and if I notice after the Open Beta that something like this happens again, I will report it here.

Or to put it another way: the engine has power but the wheels had no grip and turn on the spot but the truck does not come up because maybe the trailer weighs 100 tons even though we only loaded 16 tons

With best regards,

If the wheels slip, that would probably be my problem, (that could be if the trailler hook to low, it will lift the truck and make it slip), but I am not direct able to see what else would do it.
As you say, the weight data is as it should be in the mod, (The truck and trailer don't have an higher weight than in real life) and everything else like the engine and performance data is used from game data.

But one or the other way I/we have to solve it :-)

Hey man! I'm back lol, I've been playing with the 139.85 beta and no trailer and so far I've also encountered the problem where it's really difficult to get above 80 km/h. But that's not why I'm writing this, I found a bug while using a 6x4 chassis, where cars do not seem to recognize anything between the axles as "solid" and just drive through: https://www.youtube.com/embed/iRu0G2oqzLg (Ignore the fact that there's no audio, I don't know what happened) Sadly, this has happened to me before, all the way back in early 1.38 days, but I didn't know how to record then and since I haven't seen it posted, I thought I should haha hope it helps

Okay, that should be very easy to fix, I have noted it in my bug section.. Thanks. :-)
The video is fine, it shows me exactly what you talking about. :-)

@Flemming: I have found the culprit regarding the speed and power problem. After upgrading to 1.39 I also upgraded the Real Truck Physics mod (which also contains a module for your BDF mod), but when using it whenever the truck gets above 60Km/h it is slowing the truck as if there is a lot of drag. This does not seem to be the case with 'normal' trucks. For now, disabling the mod fixes the problem.

So you are saying that it was not my mod doing it, but the Real Truck Physics mod ? :-)
Very happy to hear that, thank you so much for your feed back.

Thank you for liking the skin.
We are in the process of finding something simple, but still good.
On the screen again a new one, but still needs to be reworked.
