I have not made it yet, but I would imagine that some other modders have. Only problem is that you will not be able to haul any logs yet.
We can only haul what you can haul with vanilla buyable trailers in game, and so fare you can not buy an ownable log trailer, which is the reason that log haul is not available for us yet.
Same problem as with cistern trailers and so on.

Hey Flemming. I absolutely love this mod!. Thank you so much for creating it.
I'm a new player (and new to the forums, mods, Steam etc etc) - had the game about 6 weeks. Found this mod within the first few days of playing and honestly I have only driven tandems ever since. It's safe to say I'm obsessed. I just spent this last "shelter in place weekend" learning to create tandem skins using this tutorial (in Dutch) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GRWBGlEdz0o. So far I'm quite pleased with the results, especially considering I don't speak the language.

I have a few questions that I could really use your help with:
1. The image on the long dollys (1x3 and 2x3) is stretched (see photo)Image https://imgur.com/a/0vQ5NL7 is there something I can do to prevent that?
2. Does every devil.dds file have to be replaced? e.g., If I only plan on using the Scania 2009 and a 2x3 Cooler, do I need to replace all vehicle and trailer skins? (By my count, there are 9 in the main truck pack, and 32 in the skin packs.
3. Is there a faster way to replace the devil.dds files other than my current carpal tunnel inducing method? (below):

Currenly, I:
  • 1. Use 7zip to open the archive
  • 2. Navigate to a devil.dds file
  • 3. Double click on the dds file (opens in paint.net)
  • 4. CTRL Shift V to paste my PNG onto a new layer (I've created the .png from the .pdn file)
  • 5. Flatten the image
  • 7. Close paint.net
  • 8. Select OK to update the archive
(repeat steps 2-8 x41 - yikes!!!!)

I've tried extracting the archive, pasting my new devil.dds file in the appropriate places and then compressing to .zip using 7zip, copying to my mods folder and then renaming to .scs. So far that hasnt worked for me - I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks again!

Hi there

1. There is only one thing you can do at the moment, (until I fix it) which is to stretch your own picture even more, so it will not be that stretched on the trailer.
2. No you don't have to replace all devil.dds, you can replace only those you use. You can see by the folder which you use. There is the box on the truck which is the same box on all trucks, etc. \vehicle\truck\upgrade\cargo\tandem\ and then the type and size. Coolliner in your case.
Then there is one for each and every trailer, etc. \vehicle\trailer_eu\tandem\ and then the trailer type, cooliner in your case. (No matter if it is a tandem, a dolly, or ownable trailer.)
3. Your current method is fine. But you should also be able to unpack the mod into a folder, then replace what you want to replace and then pack the content of the folder again. (Not including the folder where modified mod is in). You don't need compresion and you don't need to rename zip to scs. But I usual do.

Let me know how it goes.

Awesome - will do! Looks like I've got another fun and busy weekend ahead.

One last question (I promise): Is there a way to turn off/deactivate/remove the marker lights on the bottom and top of the trailer side?

WOW! That is an amazingly detailed and comprehensive mod. And it is wonderfully generous of you to provide for free, something that must have taken a very long time to create. I commend you for your imagination, creativity, labor and generosity.

Thank you Dogface, I have been working on this for almost 7 years now. :-) On and off.. But I do have plans to give it a overhaul within the next weeks, when I am forced to work from home anyway. :-)

Just wondering what the situation is with the Volvo FH 2012? There are problems with the grilles. Sometimes it's both pieces, sometimes it's just the bottom piece, but this bug is present on every cab when there's a tandem chassis in use, and in addition, the two extra cabs that come included with the mod are missing their grilles even if they are on a regular, non tandem chassis. Game version 1.36.2.55s, and mod version 107.0
