SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

Heyho Heavy Haulage-Fans,

first of all: thank you @thunderhawk for this great mod. Just touring around Europe with it ingame - and then, in December, I spotted an Actros SLT right on a little truck stop in the south-west of Germany. Lucky, ehh? This was on Bundesstraße 35 near a little village.

So, now for the real thing: I mustn't use this 3d-Modell for a Blender footage, am I right? So, I don't wanna hurt somebody's copyright...

@Scania_V8_Rat: You must not use the 3D model! But you could create your footage. ;)

@all: A while ago, i have updated the steam version to version 1.4 (support of ETS2 1.27.X)

Updated all pmgs to the new format
Updated defs -- support of diff.-lock and nominal air pressure -- changed obsolete entries

Hello, as you can know, davidzoli had to stop working on his Actros mod for some reasons. Can you ask him to give you permition to update his Actros mod ? It would be a shame to leave it at the mercy of fate.

@Dotaaar: I have to say several things to this.
  1. We had planned dozens of parts for Big Stars. And i still want to realize several of them. Davidzoli already created much of it in "plastic parts and more".
    We even had planned to include all chassis by scs and even more (with real wheelbases) So that Big Stars would not just be about 4 axle heavy tractors, rather a giant mercedes-mod.
  2. A few months ago, i already had an conversation with Davidzoli. He asked me about "taking over his project", once he would start a similar mod for another truck.
    But since I was busy in real life and the new truck wasn't released by scs, we haven't talked about it again.
  3. It is always hard to work on stuff by someone else. Just because people do things in different ways.
  4. 8x4 seems to be coming by scs.
And here we are. I just started to work on Big Stars again. And since time has high value, i have created my patreon page.
Upgrading Big Stars and maintaining plastic parts and more, could be one solution.
Putting both together as well. Or creating a complete new mod, optimized to be compatible with the new stuff by scs.
I don't know at this point. We will see!

I meant like repairing bugs and errors only. I do not want to force you to creating new stuff.
