@FAres Great. And what do you want to say me with this?

@B787 Making a model of a shifter isn't really a problem. Problem is animations of right stick under the steering wheel. Manual shifter would require to duplicate all interiors (including UK) without such animation. Thats a lot of effort for a stick that wouldn't move :/

Gear sticks are for oldschool trucks, not contemporary trucks. Modern automatic is way better for eco-driving

@Eugene Yeah, I understand this... no problem.
@abasstreppas That must be a rumor if I think about all the cars I already drove with an automated gearbox (including my own) - a lot of them did a lot of stupid things.
The one and only really 100% eco is a CVT - but that's an own class.

we have 3 2018 P410 manuals ... indeed ... all trucks for city distribution we have are manual ...FAres wrote: ↑25 Nov 2020 12:40 @B787 ,The manuals are very rare, and Scania really wants people to get Automatics, the company my father works at ordered 3 G series with manual gearbox and the sales man did his best to convince them it's better to get an automatic instead, also a manual takes a longer time to be delivered, so they ended up with automatics.

That 6 speed tranny wasn't a Allison clutchless automatic? That gearbox is a full automatic for vocational trucks such as concrete mixers, refuse trucks, and such that don't require long journeys on highways where a classic 12 speed is the best option.

@daveken78 You can get a R flat roof IRL. Not so sure if you can get a S flat roof as well, only seen one as a prototype. https://flic.kr/p/DysNS4
As for this mod pack there are no flat roofs available. And the standalone ones out there are all privat!

I meant in game, in this mod specifically, not in real life.
