If you have the downloadable version, you can extract the .scs file as if it were a .zip file. I use 7zip, but any tool will work. (you can even use windows explorer, but you'll have to rename the file from .scs to .zip for that i think).

If you have the steam version, the path to the mod is (wherever you've installed steam on your PC)\steamapps\workshop\content\227300\1764268887\nextgenscaniarework139

(227300 is ETS2's ID on Steam, and 1764268887 is the ID of the mod on the workshop, so now you know how to find any other steam workhop mod your PC).

Don't change the files inside the steam workshop folder, copy them to your mod folder before editing them.

Depending on what exactly you're adding to the game, I can probably tell you more about which files you need to edit exactly.

@Winchester1979 thank you for the response!!! ...to be more clearly, i want make some parts of the powerkasi addon mod compatible with next generation scania s. Is it possible to work if i add some strings on the powerkasi addon mod's def files?

What parts specifically? I don't remember what's in Powerkasi's mod anymore, it's been ages since I looked at it.

Most things shouldn't need any editing whatsoever, so long as they're actually made for the SCS Scania S - Eugene's S looks just like the SCS version and has all the locators in the same spots. Accessories that are specific to a certain chassis length (i.e 4x2, 6x2Short, 6x2Long/6x4, or 8x4 - this is basically just rear bumpers, rear fenders, side skirts, and exhaust pipes/side bars) may need to have Eugene's "a" chassis added in "suitable_for" statements.

I don't remember if Powerkasi had anything that used custom locators - if so, all that stuff is toast without adding those locators to Eugene's mod, which will require blender.

Anything that wasn't made either generic and suitable for all trucks (lamps and horns and stuff) or for the Scania S... will be either annoying or impossible to fix. There's a reason why basically none of the accessories for the Scania R 2009 work on the Scania NG in real life, and that's because they're made to fit the shape of the truck. The only thing I'd even try with is bull bars, which might fit.

Anyway, I have a question of my own.

I've been trying to update the ancient 10x4 chassis (last released for 1.31 or 1.33) for the Scania S to match the standards of this mod, with all the features.

I've copied the locators for the fog lights, the radar, the front license plate, and the rear license plate to the chassis mesh, and while I can get the fog lights, radar and front license plate holder onto my 10x4 truck in the game now, the rear license plate won't show up (though I might have just figured out why... it's probably not in the same "variant" of the chassis model. Duh..), and more alarmingly, the front license plate itself won't show up. Switch to the 8x4 chassis using the same bumpers and accessories, and the license plate shows fine, but as soon as I switch to the 10x4 the plates go black. Anyone have an idea of what the cause might be?

(I've contemplating making a new one by extending the 8x4 and adding a taglift from the 6x2 model, but Blender's selection tools are crap so deleting all the stuff I don't need is a pain in the ass.)

I think it is updated for 1.40. I have the Steam version, and it works great for me on 1.40.
