While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

no, you're wrong. The mod is not fully updated to version 1.40. In the P & G series, the on-board computer is not updated, which has incorrect light settings in the daytime.

what do you mean by "incorrect light settings"?
Do you know you can adjust screen brightness by pressing F4 key?
In any case I hope further tweaks are made to dashboards and gps screens in 1.41, this is not a "problem" just with this mod but with all trucks even vanilla ones, due to the changes that 1.40 update brought with new lighting

@LAFAYET47 He's actually correct though.
On the Scania S, it's very noticeable even in broad daylight when you cycle through the primary lighting modes (off, parking/drl, low beam) as the circles around the speedo and rpm gauge light up as soon as your parking lights are on. So you can click until the circles dim, then twice more, and know you have your low beams on.
On the Scania G, you can't tell the difference in daylight, at least not in the main dash screen - there's a very very subtle color change of the buttons on the steering wheel as their lights turn on, but other than that you have to watch the knob on the door to tell what light mode it's in. As soon as the environment goes dark though, the screen lights up *really* bright, with way too much bloom making it hard to read.
It was really frustrating because I kept getting fined for headlight violations while it was too bright to see whether I had any lights on from inside the cab, I think I caught three or four of them on my last trip in the Scania G. No such problems in my Scania S.

Yes, P and G series have this problem, because they weren't adjusted for 1.40 lighting.
R and S series don't have this problem, because they use default interiors.
It will be fixed eventually...

@Eugene Take your time, it's still drivable I just have to check using the F4 menu or external camera that I actually have my lights on before I drive off so I don't get fined.

@xXCARL1992Xx Yes, except my view settings are rotated to look up more so I don't see it unless I look around the cab...
