While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

Fixing the sound [and the headlight shining weird position, among other things] is easy, to be fixed in the Merc side of this mod. Don't know why the person above is having performance issues with this mod.
Works fine for me in 1.41 once I did my little private fixing.

interestingly only with older mods... connected with fixes... components that bypass certain issues....or things that only running just good enough
cpu and videoram usage is going up as well as the heat of the whole rig . some mods packing a bigger load as a double A Title with Unreal engine ... and the rig becomes a heater with 60 degree celsius inside the case.

I've fixed the headlight position, it has interior sounds and the OM 541/542 engines from the Mercedes Actros now.
The mirrors use "vehicle_reflection" and not "mirror_reflection" so I will get around to sorting that.
I am not seeing anything abnormal with regards to the CPU and VRAM usage. This is at 1080p for screenshots.

Thank you Digital to update the mod to newer one! also I Can't Wait for This mod being updated! I love this truck!
Re: Sisu Polar Mk1 - ByCapital v4.0.2 [CLOSED]
You're welcome! It's a pleasure to do so. Both trucks will take time however. So don't expect them in the next week or something as they will need to go through rigurous testing as I don't want it to be messed up.
Just be aware: I cannot do animations. Full stop. As nice as window animations would be that's way out of my depth.

Sorry it's been a bit quiet, been busy with other things.
Rest assured work on the truck is ongoing. I'm fixing the mirrors as we speak then I'm going to tackle the int_glass reflection.

Close and Close Small mirrors now fixed:

I'm glad I made my adaption based on the 1.41 mp3, tho mine only has the bits I wanted to use [I also converted the mirrors, paintjob and sunshield but I don't use them on my combo currently].
Still, this is interesting to follow while I try to make custom parts.

The interior glass is proving to be a challenge, I cannot figure out what value reduces the reflection amount.
Edit: This is about as good as I can get it. You can see the reflection of the guard rail but no matter what value I adjust it will not disappear.

The reflections look much better now.
Maybe this will help:
Explanation from Dotec^
Maybe this will help:
Code: Select all
select the windows and insert the right values into the attributes:
diffuse: 1, 1, 1
specular: 1, 1, 1
shininess: 24.00
add ambient: 0.00
env factor: (HSV: 0, 0, 1.612)
fresnel: 0.01 & -1.00
tint: (hsv: 0, 0, 0.987)
tint opacity: 0.00
queue bias: 0
base: /vehicle/truck/share/glass_int.tobj
reflection: /material/environment/interior_reflection.tobj
The Windshield can use the same materials as the side windows
Dashboard Glass:
diffuse: 1, 1, 1
specular: 1, 1, 1
shininess: 24.00
add ambient: 0.00
env factor: (HSV: 0, 0, 1.612)
fresnel: 0.01 & -1.00
tint: (hsv: 0, 0, 0.987)
tint opacity: 0.00
queue bias: 0
base: /vehicle/share/textures/generic/black_0.tobj
reflection: /material/environment/brushed_reflection/brushed_reflection.tobj
