While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

I think you’re referring to this:

I can only image if the IVECO Stralis had this engine.
But I think it was made for stationary use because it would be more complicated to upkeep, for reasons explained in my previous posts above.

The V20 (previously known as Vector 20, they changed the name making it more powerful and upgrading it to the Stage IV/V) is used as power generator, on marine applications and on the New Holland (another CNHi brand) FR920 self-propelled chopper.

The 20 Liter V8 is quite an engine, but if you look for really serious IVECO engines, I would prefer the IVECO MTCA V12 from the Italian Ariete MBT. This slender V12 Diesel has in its latest evolution 30 Liters displacement and 1650 HP, in the battletank, the torque of this behemoth has to be reduced to 5.500 Nm in order not to destroy the transmission.

Theses engines are used into specific conditions like marine or industrial tasks so like Scania Volvo and MAN V8 10 or 12 engines aren't only used for that but not for other task like trucking (except V8 of Scania)
During the 70/80's some brands have also build v8 engines like Berliet with their MIDR engines but the V8 history engine started during the 50's (50 yrs last year for Scania ) with a small power (about 320 ps like UNIC and his Izoard truck (v8 @1400rpm ~ 340ps) even if OM have builded the OM 190 and 260 for the internal market in Italy and Belgium)
As far as i know i have a doubt about the futur of the V8 for the trucking industries due to European emission about the CO2 with strict rules (when the euro 7/8 will come we'll see waht the constructors will doing ).
It's still interesting to learn about the "forgotten" decades and brands from the past
