So sounds like we're both having the exact same issue then. I'm really confused as to what's causing it as well, but I really hope it gets solved soon, because it's easily my favourite truck. But with the frame drops, it can be really annoying to drive it at the moment.MacCekko wrote: ↑07 May 2021 12:44 Yes, you're right @Omisake of course: I forgot to write that in fact the problem occurs only in interior view. In external view, the FPS are perfect. So there must be 'some' problem with the cab itself (and/or the files that compose it).
And yes, actually this problem occurs ONLY with Scania Trucks by RJL (and with their counterpart in ATS, talking about Frkn64 Scania T models, which I have already abandoned).
Let's hope that with some tweak, @LoaderSaints can solve 'our' troubles.
Crossing my fingers.

@Space_Night I think I already took care of that in the "internal" build of the mod when I fixed it on the T also.
@MacCekko Unfortunately, at this time, I still have no idea what causes the FPS drop in the interior view when the lights are turned on. I can only confirm it happens. Adjusting the lit materials of the dashboard didn't help.
So if anyone comes up with a solution, please, feel free to share it with me so I can come up with a fix.
Example load order (from top to bottom)
Next update, that should resolve all OpenGL texture issues, is about 67 % done at the time of posting this.

T-series needs to be below the DLC addons (same as R & Streamline) and the T 4-series needs to be above the T-series (Just like the R 4-series needs to be above the R & Streamline).Scania500vlbg wrote: ↑07 May 2021 18:42 ok sorry sure RJL ends at the G model.. so that means the addons above the RJL main Mod and where then the Tseries and R4

- DLC compatibility addons
- T 4-series
- T-series
- R 4-series
- G-series
- R & Streamline

Aren’t the DRL made the old school way on this? With billions of flares instead of lightmask? If so that could really be a source for performance issues. Try with headlights without DRL.

I think I really need to recheck those.
Flares by themselves aren't really impacting FPS (according to my tests) but if they emit light then they can have a heavy impact. Which is why I already edited the red lights on the side spoilers so that instead of 36 light emitting flares, there are only 6 and the rest are just a flare (model).
I have no plans for that for the time being. Probably not.Space_Night wrote: ↑08 May 2021 14:34 just curious (as I dont use the longline) Will the Long-Line get a specific inteior along with the highline extended at some stage?

I'm tearing my hair out trying to assign a custom texture to some of the paintable mudflaps. I'd very much appreciate if you could take a look at this thread.

Hey @LoaderSaints, sorry I'm not too knowledgeable about this stuff but I did come across this post where lights were causing frame drops and performance issues. I don't know if this could possibly help you but I thought I would at least share it with you and maybe it would be of some use to you?

Definitely has something to do with the lights as the FPS drops happen only when the lights are turned on. Thanks for the link.
EDIT:
The cause of the FPS drops were the flares as suspected. Should be fixed in the next update.

No problem man, I’m more than happy to do anything I can to try and help. Thank you for all the work you do. And that’s great to hear that you’ve found the source of it and it was the flares, super excited for the next update!
