While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

Re: [REL] [1.40] RJL Scania G & 4-series Addons v21.4.24
After last update i found bug(maybe), for some reason, when the tachograph "in the frame" and the dimensions / dipped beam are turned on, some wild drawdown in FPS appears, the rest of the time it works stably. I would like to be fixed

I really don't know what causes these weird FPS drops for people when the vehicle lights are turned on. On my system the drop is the same as on any SCS truck.
Re: [REL] [1.40] RJL Scania G & 4-series Addons v21.4.24
@LoaderSaints, as asked earlier (in the other thread), could the FPS drop be caused while using OpenGL libraries, perhaps? Have you tried to launch the Sim in OpenGL mode?
I am asking because that's what I am afraid of: that something goes wrong in OpenGL for some reason.
I cannot think about everything else, being OpenGL the reason for many problems in SCS simulators in these days. Unfortunately, Mac users, most of them at least, don't have the choice for different APIs whatsoever.
Thank you.

I see a ''problem'' on Serie 4. The interior even on daytime, is too dark. I can't see the steering wheel and most of the interior. Don't know if it's a problem or not... but just to report.

The interior is so perfect but I don't understand why RJL didn't add clutch, gas and brake pedals and gearbox stick? Iny opinion, with these things interior would look more realistic.

I can confirm a drop in FPS when the lights are turned on and looking up in the interior view. However, I'm afraid I don't have any clue what causes it. This also happens with Dx11. This shouldn't be a concern when driving normally as there is no need to look up.
@DrifterVegas256 Sounds like a mod conflict or your monitor brightness being too low.

@LoaderSaints, unfortunately, I have noticed a drop in FPS even looking forward.
That's why with my actual hardware – being OpenGL in macOS or DirectX 11 in Windows 10 – I don't think I can afford to use the MODs anymore, I am afraid. What a pity!
Anyway it's strange, though, since while using the "old" v1.39 MODs (deleting the "unit" folder) plus the online "FIX", it did not happen anything like that. There were issues with "some" lights, of course (one for all, the front lollipops for example) but the Scanias where drivable all in all.
It could mean that for some reason, this problem has bgan with the actual 1.40 release, perhaps, but I absolutely ignore why.
Thank you anyway. You've been kind and swift in answering and in testing.

Perhaps the issue is caused by some lit interior material which may require some further adjusting.

Hmmm, come to think of it, you might be very right, you know?
Now the matter here is if you are ever going to look into it, rather than not. I ignore the level of authority in these trucks (meaning the development aspect) owned by you. I understand that you have inherited the whole project under your control, so then it then becomes a matter of time for you to try to better understand the issue. Because I guess trying to figure out "what" kinda light (or other issue) could be the cause of the problem, would be very time consuming.
Again, with the "old" 1.39 and the "fix", all RJL Scanias worked basically well, but I completely ignore, under the technical aspect, the meaning (benefits?) of deleting the "unit" folder, so I am clearly talking nonsense.
Crossing my fingers, anyway.
