SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

[W.I.P.] Scania R-Series 2015 - High Detail
Hey guys,
been working on the previous generation R-cab for a while now, still a long way to go. A few notes:
- the cab itself is rather high poly, I still tried to keep it reasonable but I spared no detail and I might have gone overboard with some parts
- I see quite a few mistakes, some will be corrected, some won't
- for now I plan to finish the high cab asap then put it on the base chassis (with some adjustments) for release
- proper UV mapping (with template) is planned
- accessories are planned
- I'm new in ETS modding so I have yet to learn how to add/convert trucks/accessories

I'll be posting updates in this thread as I progress, let me know what you think and feel free to ask questions, I'll try to answer them.

Wow, this looks real promising. Imo, it would be great if this replaces the current SCS truck, rather than another standalone, since we have quite a few standalone Scania's already . But of course, take your time, this is a very good idea

Thanks guys :)
@CrazyMango73 to be fair I'm kinda afraid to do that for two main reasons:
1. I have very little knowledge about how everything connects
2. the cab is mid-high poly, I don't think that would work well on lower-end PCs with more than one of the model on screen at a time
I am not saying it won't be done, but for now I see these issues with it. We'll see :)
