templates for skinning in 1st post... use your desired software ...photoshop, gimp, paintnet, mspaint
compiling the files ...well you have an excellent "template" made by RudiRaser viewtopic.php?f=36&t=270442&start=80#p1145867
check that mod how it's made and you'll understand how to update it to the latest version... check filestructure in latest release and compare...

FYI: as this is the least difficult trailer to skin (well compile the skins made with templates into a working mod),
I started with it to make it available for easy-quick-modding in ModsStudio2 ( http://www.mods.studio/home )
a few clicks, add images and then export it ...no braincells overcocking during the process :lol:

in the early process, and NOT ALL three templates are now available for ModsStudio2 YET...here's a glimps of the Extreme trailer results... 8-)
Guess it's better to NOT spam with more than ONE video so the preparation video can be seen in the ModsStudio2 thread....

Thanks but like i said i've tried before i failed i diddnt understand some stuff. I'll have someone who makes skins make one for this mod, theres a bunch of other skins i want made for my company anyway. Still think my idea would be a great addition to this mod tho.

2 questions ....Knapen Extreme
1st one, what/where is that part located on the trailer seen the bottom part of template ... gave it some bright colour to test, but it wasn't visible anywhere :roll:
2nd, those two sidepieces, the one on the left seems to be corrupted ... right one can be painted properly, left one I can't. UVmapping issue :?:

Marked one is the under trailer part.
Second, some how the UV got messed up in this parts you talk about, Will be fixing that

@m1keY: As that part is on the other side of the trailer, you have to paint it on the other side of the texture. ;)

ah, lucky I got 3D Paint ... I just rotate the texture and paint on the backside :P

awesome! thanks helped me a lot great skin work btw nice to see that more people are into skinning skils :D its helpfull if something changes

Is there any way to set different body_types for both versions of the Knapen (standard and extreme)? It won't work at all, I have created more accurate bulk cargoes for these trailers but it does not make any difference between multiple body_types. I mean,the game only choose one all the time, the Standard or the Extreme body_type and set it for both variants. I want that Extreme variant will be capable of hauling certain cargoes and Standard variant another cargoes.

I will put a few examples to explain what I mean:

This is an example of a cargo specifically made for the Extreme variant:

just a thought as it seems both trailers use the same trailer_defs maybe that's the issues with both having access to your cargoes ?
- how about creating a new one for the Extreme to use ... ?
not entirely sure how all of this works (as usual)

If you look closer they don't use the same trailer_def. One is trailer_def.knapen.k100.single_3.dryvan_m and the other trailer_def.knapen.k100scan.single_3.dryvan_m
