Realistic Physics Mod v1.8 Update for ETS2 v1.4

#1 Post by nfshp253 » 09 Jul 2013 12:43

*This version will only work with version v1.4+ of the game

*Unzip the archive and place both .scs mod files in /Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/Mod and remove all previous versions of this mod. Please only enable one version at any given time based on the truck chassis type you plan on using

**Remember to enable one version of the mod in the Profile Edit page

Research based on many videos such as these:

Mod demonstration:

Changelog (v1.8)
-Reduced retarder viscosity
-Added several new 12-speed and 16-speed gearbox options for Mercedes-Benz Actros (G210, G211, G240...) and Iveco Stralis Hi-Way
-Introduced multiple reverse gears in all existing and new gearbox options supported in the latest game patch
-Increased chassis spring damping
-Increased chassis spring stiffness
-Added Actros SLT's 650HP OM 502LA engine option
-Many numerous other fixes and tweaks

First, good job on this mod, it's the only physics mod I've ever used!

Second, is it possible to combine the 2 scs files that we have now for 4x2 chassis and 6x2/6x4 chassis in one scs file only capable of handling all chassis type?

Thanks :)

The problem is that SCS hasn't implemented a single .sii file that will support individual settings for different chassis types. I have no choice but to split the mod into two different files as the spring and damping values have to be and are different for realistic simulation.

No problem, I'll use both files. Can I activate both files or just one at a time?

Just one file at a time or it'll use the 6x4 file all the time.

Scania's R-Series has only one reverse gear.
